Fatal error

Postby srmudry » Tue Mar 07, 2017 4:19 pm

-2005270523,0 rendering\d3d11\d3d11context.cpp line 116

running win7 with latest version of flyinside, htc vive, FSX dvd version with latest patches.

The only change that may have happened was Avast antivirus did an update around that time.

Since then, I've removed the following folders and restored them from a two week old backup (from when things worked for sure):
C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\FlyInside
C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX
D:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X
Prior to this removal and reinstall, I removed Avast.
No change. Same error.

Updated to latest Nvidia driver today. Problem persists. Flyinside still dies with the above quoted error.

Steam updated SteamVR on Mar 6.
Could this be causing a problem?
Is there a way to rollback the update to a previous version?

That was it. I deleted the latest SteamVR update and restored an older version. Flyinside worked fine.

Anyone know how to disable the updates?

I've had exactly the same error message.

When I opted out of Steam VR beta and rolled back to the latest non-beta Steam VR Flyinside worked again
