FSX not starting up past splash screen

Hi,

if anyone can help, i recently installed flyinside for fsx but cant get into the game as yet - ive used the newest update and as soon as i start up flyinside for fsx it loads up the splash screen with the fsx logo and opens up the additional black screen to start the rift portion but stalls there. when closing the window i get a msg saying please restart flyinside to apply adapter changes or something like that. cant make sense of it- tried looking in these forums and couldn't find an answer. my computer runs flyinsisde for x plane perfectly fine too so i really cant make sense of the stalling. ive already updated nvidia drivers for the 1070 i have and tried messing around with the compatibility settings too.

any help would be appreciated

Can you post your system specs including windows version please? Also, are you sure you downloaded the correct rift version for xplane of flyinside ?

It's fsx I'm having a problem with X-Plane works perfectly fine.

Nvidio gtx 1070
Asus z87a motherboard
Intel processor
32 gbs of ram
Windows 7 64 bit

Anything else I should list on here

Ok mate try this, find your fsx.cfg which will be under appdata/roaming/Microsoft folder and rename it or delete it, then start flyinside fsx again and see what happens? Let us know

Deleted fsx.cfg but no luck still doesnt seem to start up. i am also running the oculus tray tool with the rift and tried shutting that down also. ????? fsx spalsh screen shows and a black screen for flyinside opens up also as it does in xplane but just wont go past that. waited patiently to see if my system was just slow - again no luck

Are you going to or plan to upgrade to win 10 in the near future ? It is so much more reliable and stable than 7.

Not anytime soon. What do I do to fix it on my current system ? Any ideas?

Could you goto the store and try an older version or 2 ? See if we can narrow this down for you.

How do you have your hmd plugged in ?
