F-105 DLC - FlyInside Fatal Error Encountered (W:0)

When I pick the F-105 DLC, I get the error above when loading the cockpit and a black screen. I do hear the airplane sound effects and it acts like it's flyable. I just can't see anything in my Vive and the screen mirror is a black page too. I haven't tested all of them, but the aircraft that ship with FSX so far work normally.

Can you post your system specs and win version please, also what addon and who makes it ?

If yes then I believe this is an old FS9 port over model and may not work correctly in VR with the Virtual cockpit.

Yes, that's the one. I really hope this can work. My 82 year old dad is a former F-105 pilot and I wanted to give him the chance to fly his old plane once again in VR.

You may well be out of luck there.

I have tested a lot of the alphasim and Virtavia models (I take it this one is the alpha/Virtavia model) and a lot of them just show the black screen you mention, though you can hear the sounds, as you say.

I couldn't find a difference between the ones that worked and those that didn't - some of the older and crappy FS9 updates (and even the ones intended for FS9) worked okay, though they looked rubbish in general, in VR - and some of the later ones didn't.

It's just the way the cookie crumbles.

Yes, I have now found my F-105 and it definitely won't work with FSX and FlyInside.

I'll try it in P3D and see if it works there, but I doubt it will.

Hey, I have good news! It works in P3Dv3.



However, it isn't the clearest of panels. The front panel is 2D and most of the instruments are very blurry - though you can read the most important ones. The side panels are fine, though.



Just a case of if you have P3D - and FlyInside for P3D

Edit: Here's an idea = you could buy P3Dv3, install the Thud, have your demo with it using P3Dv3's built-in VR for the VC (it's not brilliant, but it works) and then use your 60 day refund guarantee on P3Dv3. Or keep it, as it's far better than FSX.
