OpenVR Initialization failed - Failure reason: 110

Postby Robur » Thu Jul 27, 2017 5:56 pm

Hi,

A few months ago, i successful tried FlyInside FSX Pro using RiftCat ( Vridge) cardboard VR.
Now after i bought a proper VR Headset. I was trying to setup a simulation rig, but FlyInside didn't show the FSX splash image.
I have check the log, it shows this error:
"(...)
.905498 Oculus\Vive1000Hmd.cpp 64 Initializing OpenVR
0.905894 Oculus\Vive1000Hmd.cpp 71 OpenVR Initialization failed
0.905909 Oculus\Vive1000Hmd.cpp 74 Failure reason: 110"

Thing's that i have tried:

everything updated.
Reinstalled FlyInside include older version.
Reinstalled Riftcat, SteamVR, Steam.
Uninstall NVidia driver, use Windows driver (Provider:NVidia version:22.21.13.8266).
Using FSX:sp2 bought FSX:SE.
Try SteamVR beta.
Disabled Xbox DVR.
Add "OverdrawVive = 1.3" on settings file.

Always get the same Failure reason, excepted on older version of FlyInside that FSX didn't started.
Other SteamVR app's work's.

Could you provide help, so i could enjoy play FSX in VR.

Best Regards
Robur

Is the vive plugged directly into your HDMI port on your graphics card?

Hi,
I am using RiftCat VRidge, it's emulating a SteamVR controller (vive). The app on my phone is connected, via IP to the emulator.
her is a example for the setup: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dWjgSIvTJE
A printscreen of my Desktop. We can see, on Vridge output, that it is using GeForge GTX 1050 Ti with driver 22.21.13.8266 and selecting NVEC.

So my answer should be : using graphics card

I am not sure if this will work.
Did you try it without that VRidge SW?

As i said, on the first post, a few months ago it worked. Still working on SteamVR Games.
No, I only tried with VRidge SW, using a "S7 edge" as a display.
