It was installed in FSX STEAM EDITION!
I TRIED TO INSTALL IN FSX but it wants the FSX.EXE and I cant get it to see it.
I'll restart and try again

And make sure you don't have a virus shield that's interfering with the installation process. My Avast used to throw false positives at FlyInside. It doesn't do that with the Alpha Preview, but you never know.

I think I once used avast. How would I find it and disable?

The exe file is in the fsx folder and the install Will not see it!

You should have an icon in your lower right that can be right-clicked an deactivated. But I'm not sure that is your problem.

That's very strange. Your sure that there is an "FSX.exe" file in the folder, and that it didn't somehow get renamed? The installer logic is pretty simple, it's just looking for an "FSX.exe" file in that folder.

If for some reason, you really can't get it to see it, you could copy FlyInside from your "Steam" folder into the folder you want it in. FlyInside has the following files you'll want to copy:
  • d3d9.dll
  • d3dcsx_47.dll
  • D3DCompiler_47.dll
  • cairo.dll
  • RocketControls.dll
  • RocketCore.dll
  • RocketDebugger.dll
  • freetype6.dll
  • zlib1.dll
  • The entire DCOC Folder

Make sure to copy all of those files, especially the d3d9.dll file. You said you already have a "d3d9.dll" file, but given that FlyInside isn't installed to that folder yet, the one you're seeing is probably the wrong d3d9.dll (maybe from a different plugin, so back up the one you have).

IT NOW RECOGNIZES IT! It has an error or two on startup. It doesnt like VRS TACKPACK though. When in sim, it seems like im WAY zoomed in. is there a way to zoom out? Do you have a list of key commands? I really just see colors that the plane is made up of.

How do you calibrate the headset? Hit it on the side?
Are there any other commands?
Mine is just a bunch of jumbled shapes and colors. Maybe Im Way zoomed in?
