Hi Folks.

I had to rebuild my FSXSE install, but now suffering crashes and errors with flyinside and wondered if someone can help, please?

My install is FSXSE with my usual add-ons etc. The last thing I then do is install flyinside, in this case, i used "FLYINSIDE_FSX_PRO_1.81_OVR_1300.exe" installed and activated. I do everything using "run as admin".

I have not a had moment where it does not cause some form of error and crash out. Just now I had a fatal error which I have attached the relevant files for but I have also been trying to capture a crash when switching aircraft using the flyinside menu.

The new fatal error appears onscreen in the sim, but clicking OK allows the sim to continue although there is no mouse and the flyinside system is messed up.

I tried to revert to a previous flyinside version, but that fails to install with some form of math error?

Any ideas would be a great help, please. Have I missed something stupid?

I am totally stuck now. And this is getting worse

Flyinside no longer runs in a stable condition. Reinstallation does not solve the problems. I have reinstalled my entire FSXSE install, that does not help.

I cannot install any other previous version as it fails with an error during setup as seen in "installerror.JPG". Message: "Setup: Runtime Error (at 5:580) "." is not a valid integer value."

Also. During the short periods when the software does run, when trying to switch aircraft I get whats shown in "error.jpg". Message: "fsx: An unsupported operation was attempted".

I am tempted now to try walking through the registry to find whats left behind after an uninstall, but do not know where to look for flyinside files.

Any help and suggestions welcome please

Just found another post, and going to try the following:

"Delete the flyinside folder in appdata/roaming after the uninstall then try again. Also rename or delete your fsx.cfg and let fsx rebuild the config."

When trying to install a previous version I get the error attached (installerror2.JPG), which also shows when it occurs.

I have literally deleted everything (barring trawling the registry), and can only install the latest release - which runs very poorly with crashes.

Really stumped right now, and cannot properly use the product.

Unless I am missing other software paths, my next move is to manually run through the registry, but really don't want to do that unless there are no other options.

manually ran through the registry as best as I could, also found some more temp directory and file locations. But....still no solution

I really do not know how to fix whats wrong with flyinside, seems like its really broken on my system and in a state that I cannot recover or go back to a previous version

Just seen your posts, let me have a look through these for you.

OK Something has gone wonky now, As you rightly guessed it will be a registry error. What aircraft are you trying to load when you get the streamreader error ?

It seems to happen with any aircraft, actually I realize now I only tried 3rd party add-ons.

I just tested OOTB aircraft and they work fine when switching. But 3rd party aircraft do not, and just now got a "cannot create child window".

See attached log, no error files were created.

Is it possible that (for some reason) flyinside no longer gracefully handles the window popups for trusted components?

Are there any tools or docs to help cleanly uninstall flyinside? Maybe I could try a clean uninstall etc?
