Hello Tony,

I have deleted the whole FSX folders located in \appData\Local and Roaming. No dice so far.

Thanks

Same issue here - everything was working then suddenly nothing.

If I uninstall Flyinside FSX, then the basic FSX (a freshly installed version from Steam) will work by itself in 2D. If I reinstall a clean version of Flyinside FSX neither works - both hang, so I can't get ether 2D or 3D.

For what it's worth, I also have Flyinside for XP, which works (although at present it "sits" me above the fus, and facing sideways... )

All thoughts welcome!

My two cents:

Same issue here, experienced today for the first time. Before, I was using the software on a regular base without any issue.

Changes made to the PC since the last time everything was running:
1) Updated Oculus Rift software (automatic update)
2) Installed F1 2019 :)

Nvidia drivers v. 431.60 - Release date 23.07.2019 (with these drivers it was running some days ago).
FSX-SE works if I start it from steam without VR.

Uploaded my log file (I have no error log).

Thanks for you support!

OK so this may be related to the latest Oculus 1.40 build right ? I'll get Dan to look into it.

Hello,

Quick update from my side.
First of all the Oculus version is not the 1.40. Here directly taken from the General settings page: Oculus App Version 1.39.0.272909 (1.39.0.272909)

Anyway: managed to fix everything. I'm not 100% sure but it seems the issue was not related to FlyInside but to Windows 10 and FSX. The game was yes working without FlyInside, but I noticed only later that every time I went on the "Free Flight" page the game would close without any message even when FlyInside was not running.
I found later on that Windows 10 was updating to the 1093 version and somehow this was affecting the video card. Tried to update the nvidia drivers but the installation also didn't work.

Then the fix: simply wait for Windows 10 to complete the update (probably this was taking days because I was using the pc for a short time and always turning it off).

Now everything is fine. I had to re-enter the FlyInside license for some reasons but that's a minor issue.

Check on the Settings->Update & Security if something is going on.

Hope to be helpful for someone,

Best Regards!
