FSX not Responding

I'm new to Flyinside (i.e. VIVE headset), but not to FSX.
I've had a problem with my headset in that FSX remained as a black screen, both on the monitor and in the headset.
Main problem is that FSX has been so stable for me for so long that I had forgotten that FSX's config files can sometimes cause problems that can only be solved by forcing FSX to build new files from scratch.
So the quoted message below from Dan at Flyinside has cured the problem.
Hi Maxwell,

Sorry to hear about the trouble you're running into! Could you try creating a clean FSX config, by renaming the following folders?
C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX
C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX-SE
C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Local\Microsoft\FSX
C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Local \Microsoft\FSX-SE

If it's a configuration issue this will help. I would also recommend testing a stock aircraft (if you aren't), and disabling any add-ons that you can.

Thanks,
Dan Church

Grateful thanks Dan

(posting this as I couldn't find a solution here on the forum)
