Are you getting OOM's?

Postby Adam » Wed Jul 01, 2015 6:43 pm

Hi,

Is anyone experiencing OOM's? Or has this been reported by others Daniel?

I keep getting OOM beeping warnings from FSUIPC and I had 2 full OOM's in 2 completely different situations (different aircraft and scenery/locations), so I'm trying to see if FIFSX is causing the memory leak.

Before FIFSX I rarely experienced OOM's. So I'm just wondering if there is someone out there with this issue.

Thanks,
Adam Lau

I've had OOM:s once or twice during beta testing. Not seen it for a while now though, not with the latest version. But I know some others are seeing it.

I doubt it would have anything to do with OOMs, but Adam, are you really running SLI in FSX? My understanding is it is hard on performance.

Hi Robert,

No, I'm not running SLI while using FIFSX, for some reason I can only use default airports and default aircraft. If I change to an add-on FSX will OOM out on me.

You're not the only person getting OOMs with add-ons. If you get a chance could you let me know which add-ons are leading to OOMs, and which aren't? I'd obviously like to fix these

Hi Daniel,

So far I've experienced OOM's on PMDG 777, 737 and Aerosoft's A32X family. Those work just fine at any default airport, but as soon as I load on a add-on scenery, I will get an OOM. I will try today after work to see if I can manage to get any of those aircraft to work in one of the scenery I have.
