Some aircraft "hang" in FSX

Bought FFS, now looking to buy FSX version. but on trying, some basic FSX aircraft hang up as soon as an interactive control such as throttle or switch are tried.
The hang up just locks the display, partially scewed and an egg timer just rotates!
Aircraft exhibiting this problem are:
Airbus 321
Douglas DC3
Learjet 45
Piper J3

Is there a solution to these lock ups ? I am using the DVD version of FSX with service packs 1 & 2. I did a fresh install of FSX and Flyinside FSX after rumours indicated that adding aircraft caused some standard aircraft to hang !

Good workng ones are :
Cessna
747
737
Mooney
Beechcraft Air King.

We seem to run into problems with the boxed version for some reason but not the steam version......do you have acceleration ?

Tony,
OK, so I am a bit of a newbie here.

Can you explain what you mean by "do i have acceleration?"

Do I need to purchase the Steam version or can I just update my existing "DVD" version?
Would I need a new MS license for the Steam version?

My system is
Windows7 Pro 64bit
Gigabyte Tech Z97p-D3
Intel Core i7-4790K
NVIDIA GeForce GTX1060 6Gb
240Gb Intel SSD
16Gb Ram

No worries mate, FSX boxed can be a pain but Acceleration (the one with the FA/18) supposedly helped.

I would never say go and buy FSX Steam edition but it does go on sale frequently mate....at the moment you can get it with an addon or 2 for £22, It does go as low as a fiver quite often :)

Tony,

Thanks for the info.
OK, I now understand, I think !
I wil keep a lookout for a "cheap" Steam edition with Acceleration.

Adding the FSX aceleration package did not helpo.

I am now waiting for flyinside to confirm that the Steam edittion of FSX will resolve the issue.

I am not very impressed.
I have had no answer from Flyinside since January, it is now November.
Flyinside told me they would check whether the aircraft in FSX that I listed as crash on touching any control was a issue not found on the Steam Version.

They initially said I needed the Accelerator version, which I purchased, did not help.

I am still waiting for an answer, as to whether the Steam edition will truely overcome these software crashes before I purchase the FSX version of Flyinside.

I have no issues with the purchased regular flyinside.
