As far as I know, Gold is not working. I'm going to get my hands on a copy to debug it. Which error message are you seeing?

With my specs, if I get the Steam edition, do you think I'll be up and running? I probably would have already purchased it but I have subpar internet. Would Oculus Runtime 0.6.0 be better. What is the ideal setup?

You'll definitely see the difference with the steam edition over Gold mate. But with the DK2 the only weak point I see is your GTX470. A great card but getting long in the tooth now. Is it the 1gb version ?

Had FSX gold edition working....... but added some photo scenery from Playsims and it's giving an error now Rendering\TextureQueue.cpp Line 29

Yeah, it seems hit and miss to some extent with add-on scenery. I've had great success and also oddness using Orbx.

I have a prior version, with 2 FSX DVDs and then a separate Acceleration DVD, and it is working fine if that helps you a little. Of course, I don't have to contend with Games For Windows Live, so if you could possibly find a way to hack that useless bit out of the game, then you may be in luck.

I caved in and got the Steam version. That and a bunch of Windows updates, and I'm up and flying in the rift! I have been able to add a couple of Carenado aircraft: C-152 and C-172. I'd like to add A2A's Cherokee and maybe ORBX PNW, but I don't want to rock the boat. I love flying in the rift!
