Dam I was getting immersed...then...

Postby Hesynergy » Sat Dec 16, 2017 5:06 am

1.I couldn’t use MOST of the X-Plane menues, the replay of my flight to Johnson Creek, Utah. Look it up...The flight’s under this username on YouTube and labeled as Johnson’s Creek or bust. It was a NON-VR/Flyinside Video and was to be the test...

I could not get the Replay controls to appear on the screen and therefore I had to sit around for most of my trial 15 minutes (My fault... I must’ve been doing cockpit duties and flight planning and letting the engine warm-up)before I took off ...but

...once up and in the mountains it was glorious! I have a Lenovo, BTW.

2.their problem with 1. is that I could never get into the pilot seat... whatever defaults there may be in Instead of inside the cockpit… I never could get into the cockpit. Yes, I have X-Camera, but I had disabled it.

So what little I was able to enjoy gave me an indication that I might want to come back for a second Drive but for now it was just a travel log with no feeling of being in the cockpit, because I wasn’t;and for the life of me I couldn’t figure out how drop myself that 75 feet down to strap in! This happened in the Default 172, AND the REP version.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated. I think I’d like Flyinside really well, what it looks like X-Plane is coming out with its native VR with in the next week ...at least for the private beta testers… then I guess the Flyinside impetus goes ...Pooof!

I am pleased with your efforts Mr. Flyinside Dev, sir. Thanks for the trial!

To find one person with a Mixed Reality headset who is running Flyinside XP successfully, and how they did it...I guess that one statement sums it all up.

Thanks for your interest and Happy Holidays

We already got feedback from happy WMR FlyInside users. It works pretty nice

That is precisely what I want to hear! So obviously I am doing something wrong or my system is. I have included this video to help Dan help me and others that are having problems.

If this link doesn’t take you to the middle part where I actually try flying inside three times, then the FlyInside section is around 29 minutes in , with the first section of the vid showing a control flight of of X-Plane 11.11 after disengaging my other two monitors so we’re flying with only one. As you can see the control flight of this version of X-Plane 11 works just fine; that’s the idea...it was the control in this experiment.

Thanks Dan for all of your hard work; I know you wouldn’t Advertise/sell this if it wasn’t working properly for you and your beta testers... so hopefully this video will help you diagnose what either I, or my machine, or both of us, are doing wrong.

Respectfully submitted, and anxiously awaiting your pointy finger indicating the flaws in my system or myself in operating said system.

You are using a rather old video card. Can you please try out the latest FlyInside version for Xplane which was released yesterday? This one includes some fixes for older and AMD video cards
