Hi All,
Adds new GPS, which supports "Direct To" and Flight Planning functionality. It exists as part of the 3d cockpit within the B55, B407, and MD530. You can pull it up in any aircraft as a virtual window, "Location -> GPS"
UI improvements to Scenery Editor (Location -> Scenery Editor)
Fixes bug with 737 tutorial
Fixed bug with aircraft spawning and crashing into ground immediately
Fixed crash which could occur due to failed scenery downloads
Adds ability to use "driving" style pedals for rudder (separate Left/Right bindings available under Settings -> Controls -> Flight)
Improved helicopter ground handling
Adds additional fixes around grass
Adds additional variables to ControlsDebugger to assist in flight model tuning
Adds additional ground handling parameters for use in future aircraft
Includes code for PBR (will be activated in next update with PBR glass)
We finally have a new release! The biggest addition is a GPS with navigation features. You can enter flight plans, or just a "Direct To" destination. B55, B407, and MD530 all have one built in. All aircraft support a "Location -> GPS" menu though.
You'll also find the "Location -> Scenery Editor" UI has been reworked with some nice improvements.
We're still cranking on updated cockpit glass, you can expect a follow-on update next week.
Thanks,
Dan
P.S. This is contained in both the Beta and Beta2 branches, which are identical.
Opting into Steam Beta:
Open Steam
Go to the "Library" section
Right click on "FlyInside Flight Simulator"
Select Properties
Go to the "betas" tab
From the "Select the beta you would like to opt into:" dropdown, select "beta"
Let Steam do its update thing!
Opting into the Website-Version Beta:
Turn on Debugging Tools from "Help -> About -> Usage Options"
Open "Debugging Tools -> Debug Diagnostics"
Expand "Debug Options"
For "Updates URL" specify "https://cdn.flyinside-fsx.com/SimLatest.ClosedBeta2/" (the final slash is important)
Restart your sim
Use "Sim -> Check for Updates" - It should show a prompt for version 0.6.9.0 currently
Any issues let me know.
