I've been using Xplane for 20 years, and just found out about flyinside sim. I love what I see so far. My main question is, how easy is it to reconfigure a cockpit panel and re-arrange the instruments and/or create new instruments to make it look like my own airplane? In Xplane this seemed like a nearly impossible task, which is why I was looking for a different software.

Sorry, that's not really a feature we have. The issue is that the "virtual cockpit" is a relatively complex 3d model built in 3d modeling software. That means that we can't expose functionality for moving the gauges around.
