Problem recording video

Postby mobiusfix » Wed Nov 07, 2018 1:25 pm

I tried recording video to show a(nother) bug, but it saves with a file extension .h264. None of my media players will play it, even if I change the extension to .mp4.

Hello, have you tried VLC? .h264 a weird format, but VLC should be able to play it. Unfortunately it's purely a video format with no sound, but we're working on sound integration now.

VLC works! The only down side is that the video plays upside-down. And mirrored. :(

My recommendation is to use FFMpeg to convert .h264 to .mp4

Don't worry though, we're getting very close to native .mp4 recording so it'll just work out-of-the-box :)

No problem, at least LC has an option to flip and rotate on playback. I just wanted to make sure recording worked for the purposes of bug reports. BTW, is a screenshot option in the works? Half the time I can show a bug with a still image just as easily.

Hello,
I posted about recording videos a few weeks ago and now I use FFMpeg which is very simple. My remaining question was : why captureDVR of W10 does not work on FFS and is OK with others simulators ? Any ideas ?
Best regards
