In the T38 the Center Trim Button is without function

Postby fooleranto » Sun Feb 03, 2019 6:37 am

Hello!

If I trim in the T38, then it is not possible for me to neutralize this trim again with "Center Trim". Even if I assign a corresponding button to the joystick, it does not work. In the B55 it works.

Many greetings from Germany

Hi Gunter,

Which trim axis are you trying to set (elevator, aileron, or rudder)?

Thanks,
Malcolm

Hello Malcolm!

Oh, excuse me, I just overlooked the fact, that these are 2 different axes that I have to center. I thought I could center both trim axes with one button. So that's it.

Nevertheless, I would still have a request regarding the trim. Especially in the T38 the steps of the trim seem to be a bit big to me. I don't succeed in balancing the aircraft well, because either it is too much, or too little and the aircraft always tilts in one direction or the other. Is there any way to do that more sensitively?

With greetings from Germany

Is it too sensitive when you're adjusting the trim knobs inside the aircraft, or when you're using bound keys/buttons to adjust the trim? Or both?

I only used the trim knob of the joystick.
