A video showing defects in downloading sets

Hello, here is a video that shows us when the terrain is mountainous, there are some defects.
1) cliff appearances on the side of the mountains.
2) a mass of scenery that rises to the sky and disappears as you approach.
3) mesh problem the river rises and falls according to the relief.
At the beginning I am in normal zoom and at the end I am on max zoom.
Greetings.

Hello Betampona!

The video shows exactly what I have described in my thread https://forum.flyinside-fsx.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=7452. The video is of course more expressive than my text, so I will do it in the future like you.

I would like to add that many trees are simply standing in the air, i.e. in a state of suspension.
Your comment to the rivers applies of course also to mountain lakes.
Sometimes houses and whole settlements stand in the middle of the runway.
Agaves, cacti and other plants in the desert are as big as houses (big houses).

But I would also like to praise them, because the houses are really beautiful and when they are built on the mountain, they are still straight, so they are realistically underbuilt. You don't see that every day.
Beyond that the clouds are really super. They look very realistic and behave accordingly. When you fly through them, the view is restricted in a way that is also the case in reality. Quite great!

Many greetings from Germany

Gunter

Yep, +1 the vid and Gunters post are consistent with my experience. I also observe freeways going under and out of the terrain.

Hello!

If you take off from Santa Fe MUC at the airport ICAO: KSAF and fly heading 60, you will see a breathtaking edge. I feel sorry for the people whose houses are built on the abyss. But see for yourself.

By the way, this is also interesting for helicopter pilots, because there are large holes in the ground directly at the tear-off edge below, into which we can fly. It's crazy.

Greatings from Germany

Thank you both for your reports! We're reproducing the issues listed in this thread (from both betampona and fooleranto). Doing our best to fix!

Hello developer!

I just flew back to the area around KSAF and now I've come to the conclusion that this area should be preserved. Because it's so spectacular when you fly it in 3D with the Oculus and with the helicopter that it would be a shame to equalize this edge. First of all, this edge is several hundred meters steep, but beyond that there are holes in the ground below that go at least another 100 meters into the depth, in some of them there are even houses below. It feels like Jurassic Park, really scary. Therefore I would suggest to make this area the "FlyInside National Park".

Many greetings from Germany

Gunter

PS: There is definitely no such thing in Europe!

Hello, with the latest version, a video in the Grand Canyon to test for load defects. Short test, I didn't see any small cliffs appear on the relief but there is still with a lesser extent the failure to download see at 2mn 40 . However, even if the video doesn't make it smooth, it's very fluid.
Greetings.

I found another strange terrain anomaly. If you fly east from KLAM, about 10 minutes on the Bell 407, you will come to a place where the terrain is about 1,000 meters steep. Really blatant and similarly spectacular as the place around KSAF.

These are the coordinates:

Terrain-anomaly at Los Alamos (about 10 min. from KLAM flightdirection east)
35.956398
-105.889191
1840.421509
287.985657

And right in the middle of the area there is an airfield which, if you stand on it, is not visible and only becomes visible when you fly over it in a few thousand feet. Here are the coordinates of the airfield, on the ground.

35.654152
-105.142349
4.706909
-0.000000
