Plane is not able to accelerate even when Throttle at max

Postby snagar » Fri Feb 22, 2019 4:18 am

Hi,
I'm currently using the latest 0.5.0.0 update (not beta).
The baron 55 was my first VR plane that I flew and it was enjoyable even in the current built, accelerating on the runway, take off, doing fly around really immerse me.
The day after there was an update to flyinside, it is still in the 0.5.0.0 build (not beta). To my surprise, when I tried to take the Baron 55 for a "ride" it failed to take off, it only reached ~60-70knots and when I tried to rotate it decelerate.
After trying few times with no luck, I switched to 310R. This time the plane accelerate correctly.

My first thought was: maybe the update made the Baron 55 bogus.

Unfortunately, I found last night that this is not the case. the 310R had the same acceleration issue after I switched location in mid flight.

I wonder if other simmers had/have the same issue, and if there is any workaround, except waiting for next build.

I believe all aircraft have parking brakes on by default, so you first need to release those. The problem I had with the latest build (0.5.3.5) was that my joystick configuration was overwritten. Double check that on your copy to make sure the parking brake release is still assigned to whatever button or key you use.

Nope, it is not park brakes.
I wish there was away to debug and send my experience.

Do you have pedals with toe brakes configured? It's possible you may need to reverse the toe-brake axis. I've seen this happen, where no toe-brake causes full braking of that foot, and full toe-brake releases it. If that's not it shoot an e-mail to dan@flyinside-fsx.com . I'll connect with you, and debug the braking force in real-time :)

That seem to solve the issue :D .
The rudder animation is on the slow side when I press the toe break, but that solved the issue.

Thanks
