717 Autopilot (NAV) issue

I am unsure if this is a bug, user error or even if this part of the autopilot is implemented yet ... but
I cannot work out how to get the Autopilot to follow the flight path programmed.

Upon takeoff, I select NAV and PROF modes as shown on the numerous tutorials on the web.
the aircraft then ignores the programmed SID and instead turns onto a random heading and then rocks backs and forth +/-10-20 degrees from its new imaginary heading.

It acts similarly to when an autopilot is trying to track a VOR at close range.

All other autopilot functions seem to be working and the autopilot is in NAV mode not HDG.

Any help would be most appreciated, thanks.

Just bought the flight sim for the 717. Couldn't load the box in time to see that the 717 autopilot does not track the nav track so I bought it figuring that it would unlock features/enough time to have it fly a preprogrammed flight plan. It does great in HDG etc, but the autopilot will turn any direction on a whim when asked to track the magenta line that has been entered in the MCDU FLT PLN even if you have put it on the line on a good heading with no lateral displacement. This makes the Sim unusable for me. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thank you both for the bug report. We're looking into it, we probably have a messed up variable, but should be fixable in a not-too-distant update :)

KATL - Shoot support@flyinside-fsx.com if you'd like a refund. We should have this fixed before too long though.

Thanks,
Dan

Thank you very much for the quick response and for looking into the issue. I'm using this to prepare for training on the 717. I want to be semi-proficient before I even start. Unfortunately, that is in a couple of days. The interface is very intuitive and the model is very realistic.

I'll check with Dan for you...is this just for our Sim or does the FSX version of the TFDi do the same do you know ???
