Using new Oculus Rift S

Postby bonanza » Sun Oct 13, 2019 11:15 pm

My attempt to fire up FSX crashes and shuts down immedeatly after I get a "verify Nvidea 2060 Video Card" window during startup. The latest oculus rift S has only a Display Port plug. The Flyinside Manual says you must connect via a HDMI Socket.
Any Ideas of a work around? Thanks.

Hi Tony, My set up is Win 10 64 bit, 16 gb Ram using an AMD Ryzen 7 8 core processor and a Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060 mounted on a Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite Motherboard. I have the latest Oculus Rift S headset and all works wonderful with Oculus Apps. My problem is that the Rift S has only a Display Port plug to connect to the Video Card and I notice the Manual for Flyinside says you must connect via the HDMI Port on the Video Card. Trying to use the Display Port seems to crash it all when I get a screen asking to confirm my Video Card. At that point the FSX fails to load and my screen goes back to the desktop. Should Flyinside work using the Display Port, or do I need to get a HDMI to Display Port converter? Thanks Bonanza.
