I'm assuming most who use leap have VR and I would also guess a lot of us have yokes and throttle quadrants.
My suggestion is to be able to assign a button, like the left pointer button on the yoke, that takes our hands from a visible but inactive state, to an active state that allows the buttons and knobs to be manipuated.
I went to put down the gear in the Baron, and accidentally killed the mixture because my hand grazed it. I also went to adjust my throttle on my quadrant, and feathered my props because my IRL throttle location was the prop location in the sim.
This would work well as most pilots left hand never leaves the yoke. And if it's an option, the people that fly full VR dont have to assign it and their hands would always be active.
