User-Submitted 3D Airports

X-Plane has been doing this for a few years and it's been a great success. Basically, anyone can create a 3D airport using a standard library of objects and submit it to the developers. If the quality is satisfactory, the airport gets added to the core sim. This was a great way to add high-quality 3D airports into X-Plane and I think it would work great with FFS too.

Just meaning that I think too that "validated user submitted airports" is a good (and cheap) way to improve the scenery

But for this we need the tools...

A slightly long term goal of ours is in-sim auto-gen, building, and airport editing, so you can click and place objects. Next logical step is user submissions, but it'll take some time.
