Trees and clouds settings

Is there a way to disable the 3D trees keeping the 3D houses as i my flying areas trees are very often in bad locations (lakes and rivers for example) ? Houses tre OK.
One way is to change all tree' s textures for transparent ones but maybe there is a better way to dot it...
