First reviews wont give a fair impression. DK2 support has evolved massively since the early days, completely changing the experience in my opinion.

You should of got an email confirmation Dan (I've had 6 lol) also on the shop page it'll say expected shipping date before you enter your details. If you got In early enough then you should be 28th March for your shipping date :)

Something else about the CV1: What do you guys think about the new sensor design? Apparently, they put it on a stand. Does anyone know if it's detachable and can be clipped to a monitor like the DK2's? If it's not, where are we supposed to put this stand? In front of the monitor? Behind it?? I'm sure what most people don't need are even more things that take up precious desk space. And WHY do they think it's a good idea to put an Xbox controller into the box?? I already have two of them, why would I want to pay for a third? I for one would have prefered a no frills product at a lower price.

Woot! I'm glad you got in early, Dan! FI support incoming!

n3bulaR - the camera demounts from the stand and has a standard 1/4" camera mount thread. You can get all sorts of camera mounts that have that same 1/4" stud that clip onto things, tripods of all sizes, etc.

The XBox controller was so it would be a complete package for those who don't have one. But I agree that for the early adopters, most already have one. I also have two - one each wired and wireless.
