My DK2 is sold!

Postby Tony » Mon Feb 08, 2016 5:02 pm

Well it's sold. No turning back now :( ebay is very thin on the ground for dk2's at the moment and I got more than I originally paid for it. Word of warning though . With the release of cv1 I reckon there will be a flood of sales. Now to start counting down the weeks til my cv1 arrives :( it's gonna be a long long long wait !!!!.

Congrats on the prize! Sorry that you won't be joining us for a Rift multiplayer session for a while though, but March/April is not far away! :)

Man I have thought about doing this, but can't bear to part with it until my CV1 arrives. I guess that means my selling price will drop due to supply going up, but I guess I just live with it.

You are a stronger person than I am.

I'm in the same boat, can't quite bear to part with the DK2 but the money would offset my purchase. ARGGH, decisions!

Think about it like I did. Do I sell now and get good money for it ? Or do I hold on to it and get peanuts for it when cv1 is released and dk2's flood the market ? I also looked at not having a rift . The few months I won't have one will renew my enthusiasm for vr to a whole new level :) my opinion Mort ? Sell it as fast as you can and get your money back :) I got way over 300 quid :)

I sold my DK1 when DK2 was announced, thinking like you do now, Tony. But the pain, being without VR for many months, made me decide to never be without VR again. I will keep my DK2 until I have CV1 in hand, and then maybe sell and take the loss. :)

Exact same boat here. I am willing to take the loss to not be w/o my beloved OVR. Just can't go back to a flat screen. I stopped using any sims that don't have OVR support within two months of owning the DK2. I think I would need grief counseling if I lost my Rift. LOLOLOL

May the Force be with You. LOL

There is no way I am going to part with my DK2 until my CV1 is setup and working. Using VR for P3D and Elite Dangerous are activities I can't get enough of
I think the price for the DK2 will still be a couple hundred dollars because of the $600 for the CV1
Of course having the HTC Vive on the market may influence the resale of DK2's
Going without VR for the sake of a bit of money is not worth it
