You can really crank up the detail and still get good frame rates with LFS. I have it maxed out and get 300+ with the oculus all the time. It's butter smooth and just like really driving 8-) 8-)

Wow, thats interesting Tony. I used LFS while waiting for iracing to get dk2 support and I found it good. There was a turn or two at one of the tracks when I first started racing in the rift that really threw me.

It was a highish speed left hander and my brain was telling me I should be hard against the right hand side of my seat yet nothing. I got a strange feeling going around that corner every time at first.

I find racing to be the best for me as far as no ill effect at all, then flying, although I can only do DCS for so long because of judder. And now flyinside. I could do it all day with no effect.

Put me in one of the games where I have to walk around and I am no good. I need to build up a tolerance to that style but wont because I dont have an interest in them too much.

I strongly recommend Lunar Flight. It's just recently been updated to Unity 5 and it works flawlessly. The developer seems to have ported to U5 in order to begin implementing new features and improvements, so I suspect it will only get better.

I also enjoy European Truck Simulator 2. I think they've got some version of asynchronous warp working in it, because the most recent iteration is quite smooth even at medium to high settings. I have difficulty with the right-hand drive (the game starts in England), but once you get the Continent, you can drive on the right side of the road in a left-hand drive truck. Most eager for the upcoming American Truck Simulator.

Both available on Steam, both (generally speaking) relatively serene games: like FSX w FI, more of an experience than a game, to my mind. I've spent more hours in both than I'd have believed if you'd described them to me before I acquired a Rift.

I'm also a big fan of Lunar Flight, I started playing before it had VR support and when I first tried it on a friends DK1 I was blown away, it was the app that sold me on VR.

Beside pCars i love to play around in Alien Isolation. Unfortunately it runs only with the old 0.6 runtime on win8,
so i made a dual OS booting win8.1 & oculus 0.6 runtime just for Alien Isolation :D
The other OS is Win10 & 0.7 runtime for the newer stuff like Prepar3D and pCars.
Because i'm a SciFi fan i love to just walk around in A:i, love the architecture designs,
(i stand while playing!) but the Alien, oh dear the most terrifying thing, i allway snatch off the Oculus so quickly
its crazy

I hope there will be a new version out for the CV1 !

I loved Alien:Isolation, I played the whole game (30+ hours!) in the rift. I still have some of the DLC still to play but I'm holding out for support on 0.7.0.0.

I see DCS World Beta 1.5 now supports the rift with Runtime 0.7.0.0. Seems to be working OK apart from having EVERYTHING on low to run right LOL

Yep, gave it a go recently, much improved over the previous rift enabled version but the menus are still hard to read and navigate.

Would love to give DCS MP a go sometime if anyone fancies i? a one on one dogfight with the rift could be fun!
