Ah, that might explain it then, as it's getting in a hover in preparation for landing that is giving me the most problems.

Maybe i need to look at getting some specialist helicopter kit. oh dear, the wife is going to love that. :)

You really won't regret getting the Warthog and not only for flying the A10C in DCS World, which it excels at, but it also works well on the civil aircraft in XP11 too. I really notice the throttle's precision on the Aerobask aircraft, where you can get an exact reading of its position and it really is very accurate.

For the Bell 429, i have disconnected the two throttles and made the right hand one the collective and the left hand one the throttle. That way, when i connect them again, to fly a fixed wing, i don't need to change the mappings. Using the plugin settings on the 429, i have set the left hand throttle control to control both of the chopper's throttles and it works just fine. For my rudders, (lol, don't you have any MFGs yet?) i can simply take the spring off and make them totally free moving. I won't take the spring out of the joystick however, as i wouldn't want to have to keep taking it out and putting it back again.

Please let me know how you get on with the Warthog.

Tony the Komodo Simulations site and Facebook page has been down for a while. Richard Price is a one man operation based in the U.K. And is also a full time commercial helicopter pilot. I think things got a bit hectic when he released the Huey equipment. There was a lot of interest from the DCS community. I'd imagine, but don't know for sure, that he pulled the website to update it and also prevent increased orders pushing out the wait time. They could possiblly have resulted in a drop in customer service due to the increased demand and associated workload. The quality is excellent though and the support has been fantastic. He goes above and beyond. His gear is pricey but given that I only fly helicopters in flight sims I think the AS350 cyclic was worth every penny. I used to be so frustrated trying to fly helicopters with a conventional joystick. I'm sure his site will be up again soon.

I got mine from Box and had no problems at all. Delivered on time and in perfect condition. As you would expect of course.

I got a delivery from VR cover today, of a couple of new face-plates and the soft bits that go with them. The foam on my original was getting a little crusty and the new one feels so much better. :)

i never bothered either. i got a degree in computer science, back in the days just before PCs came along, so yes i am crusty, and learned that IT was really only any good where it provided a viable solution to a problem. Now i know that i might be accused of being a Luddite, but most of today's technology, including most uses of social media and mobile "phones" are a solution where a problem didn't really exist and are now causing a bundle of problems and if Donald Trump carries on tweeting one of them will possibly resulting in the end of the world.

What was it David Cameron said? "Too many tweets make a tw@t" :)
