I swapped to the stand alone program, it's a shame the DLC isn't transferrable with the Steam version.

I've just relaunched DCS in my Steam Download queue and bought the F-15 to try it out.

From what I've read, though, DCS won't work with OR runtime 0.7/0.8 due to OR completely removing extended mode.

Since OR is still in development, what would be the arm in leaving the extended mode in so we don't have to switch back to older runtimes in order to enjoy a GREAT MAJORITY of previously supported VR games that won't work anymore?

This kind of makes me angry.

DCS 1.5 world beta works a treat on 0.7.0.0 and with the almost daily hot fixes this is turning into a really good rift game make sure you have auto updates enabled for dcs and you will get the beta. Someone please get the Mig15 as I have the F86

I have the MiG15, got three consecutive kills against the AI the other night. I'm not saying I'll be any good on MP but I'm up for a challenge

After downloading, installing, installing FC3 and updating to the latest beta, I gave it a try. Quite impressed by the superb cockpits and fine scenery, but I get a lot of judder when looking around, even on lowest settings.

Guess I'll have to upgrade my rig at some point...

Tony and I tried out multiplayer in DCS last night too and DCS has really improved! Looks like another port to forward for multiplayer, though, unless you just join an existing session.

I had pretty much shelved DCS once Dan started FlyInside but I have to say that DCS is absolutely amazing. Some menu problems but that's minor. Going to have to relearn all the keys and do some button assignments now.

OK - is the latest beta that Bruce and Robert talking about available with Steam or do you have to go direct to the DCS World website?
