Hey guys, the FSX Blue Angels have a camera.cfg file that eliminates clipping and head position movements from inertial changes:
http://www.fsxblueangels.com/wing%20cli ... plate.html
They have a couple of images to show the effect at that page.
I've looked through it and all I can find different is this line added to the virtual cockpit definition. I just added this line and get great clipping and still get the head movement (which I wanted to keep):
ClipMode = Minimum
Note the spaces between the words and the equals sign.
On Win10 and FSX:SE the file you want to modify is here: C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\Cameras.CFG
Here is my full virtual cockpit camera definition (second one in the file) but I'd just copy in the ClipMode line:
[CameraDefinition.001]
Title = Virtual Cockpit
Guid = {xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx} (not my real GUID but I didn't want anyone copying mine in and messing up their installation)
Description = This is the description of the cockpit view
Origin = Cockpit
ShowPanel = Yes
SnapPbhAdjust = Ordinal
SnapPbhReturn = True
PanPbhAdjust = Ordinal
PanPbhReturn = True

InitialZoom = 1.0
SmoothZoomTime = 2.0
ShowWeather = Yes
XyzAdjust = TRUE
ShowLensFlare=FALSE
