Vive and Nvidia Event Tomorrow, 12/8

Postby Robert » Mon Dec 07, 2015 10:45 pm

There is an HTC/Nvidia event tomorrow that may or may not be a reveal.

Speculation on Reddit is everything from just discussing an Everest demo to sales of a Vive bundle. HTC has been tweeting about the event but has not said what is really up. Nvidia has also been talking about it but not giving details.

There are some coincidences that point to a possible reveal and sales, though. SteamVR just got an animation of some sort that shows off how to set up Vive, there are a number of Steam VR titles set to go on sale on the 15th (week from tomorrow), and the Everest demo has already been publicly shown. People question why HTC and Nvidia need to hold some joint event to show something already shown but some also mention it could be VR specific enhancements to Gameworks, but ask why they need HTC/Vive for that.

The event starts at 10 AM UK time so it's early AM here in the States. But just a heads-up if anyone wants to be ready to order if it goes on sale. No other details but the buzz is on the HTC Twitter feed, Nvidia's, and Reddit.

Looks like a bust and it's like a Vive bus tour kind of thing, just with a new demo (Everest).

Thought this might be it.Tweeted photos show a dev kit so they aren't even showing the consumer version yet.
