Got it working fine now thanks to clicking "prefer maximum performance" in the nVidia control panel 'Manage 3D Settings' menu under "power management".

Flyinside now running at 24/92 fps

Thanks all.

Is the 'power management' tab still used in the latest drivers? I couldn't locate it when I looked earlier.

Yes, found it thanks. Not sure its made any difference though, although considering i'm running an i7-4770K @ 4GHz and a 780Ti am able to hit 60 fps.

That's with VFR photo scenery vis set at 10nm.

I have the same gpu and the i56600k and I have similar frame rates. I also changed in nvidia control panel - maximum perfomance and unchecked shader pixel that they mention in another topic. Should I leave like this in all the games or I have to change each game I am playing?
