Thank You for the App and about those Messages

Postby airwolf » Sun Aug 07, 2016 6:36 am

Hey,

Thank You for this app. The VR in simulation is unreal. This is something that I have been waiting for since I was a kid. What an amazing experience it is and your app help us all realize it, very grateful for this app.

I do have a request - can you tell me on how to turn off all those message windows which pop up in the VR, sometimes they are floating at an angle or something and is very challenging, as I have to move the mouse and align it carefully to close it.

What is the command to turn off all those in game messages so these windows are never created.

Thanks,

Airwolf

Hi, You can assign a button to FlyInside settings to disable virtual desktop in VR.

I don't think disabling VR desktop solved it. Any in game message like initialing engine or reset altimeter etc. I can't find a way to disable them

Hey Tony,

For example if I use ASN or AS16 - sometimes it displays a message in sim that weather is being updated etc. In VR a title bar shows up in the cockpit and it is quite challenging to close them at times.

I disabled as much as I could. For example, if I start PMDG 777 it does pop up a intitialization window. And sometimes updates on weather do happen and message window pops up.

But for pmdg 777 once the initialization is done, the window should disappear - that is what happens on the monitor. But inside the rift I do see the green bar just sitting there.

It seems P3D makes any text info on the sim appear as a mini window or sorts? is my conclusion correct?

If we're talking about the Red Text/Green bar messages I think we're stuck with them under certain circumstances (open/close doors etc) It's an FSX issue rather than a Fly Inside bug though. I think you can hide the window after it pops up with the hide Virtual window binding, but it comes back like a bad smell and sometimes it can take focus away from the Sim.
