Windows Update, Startup Crash Hot-Fix: Please Test

Postby admin » Mon Apr 17, 2017 11:33 am

Hi All,

As some of you have discovered, the Windows 10 Creators Edition update has broken compatibility with FlyInside FSX. We have a hot-fix here, which should solve the problem:

Please give this a download/test, and report back. If this fixes the startup crash for others, we'll push this live to the main site.

Thanks,
Dan

Update: Well looks like after relaunching it, the text is missing from the UI for me too. I am also having an issue where after launching FlyInside all I see is the FSX splash screen but the game doesn't start at all.

Just got home from work and loaded the hot-fix and everything worked beautiful, first time using FlyInside and am very impressed with the menus in VR especially the big curved desktop. Flew around Chicago with everything maxed and it was amazingly smooth. Tried my best to find something wrong but couldn't. Never imagined FSX could be this amazing.
Thanks for a great program and the great support.

Edit: Ok I got it working yet again by reinstalling it fully, no text issues, or other bugs yet. Will report back if I encounter any issues.

The hotfix seems to repair the issue for Oculus and FSX (box version). Thanks!
