Flyinside 1.8 PX multiple BSODs

Postby droolguy » Sat Apr 29, 2017 1:23 am

Upon executing FI PX 1.8 steam vr loads and I get the picture in the headset, around the end of Xp11 in game window load the computer BSODs every time, multiple different violations and error codes popping up.

Kernel security violation and unknown worker being the most prevalent.

Is this a known issue with a fix or will you need my error logs?

It does not actually happen every time, I managed to fly a couple free sessions and it worked amazingly (when I could get it to start).

I am copying my BSOD memory.dmp to a google drive right now as it's 1.5Gb so will be the only way to get it to you.

Will reply to the thread again in around 20 minutes when it's done uploading.

This seems like a system error. I am at work and cannot download that to my phone. When you get the bsod do you manage to read what failed ?

Yes,

The program generates a "worker_invalid" BSOD.

I can look a into it right now as I just woke up, from what little I have read it's generally related to a memory management problem with the software running. I will dig into it some more on my end.

If I find a cause for it or a fix I will let you know.

It looks like it's a driver conflict with Nvidia checking the log file with the windows debugger.

The error sources at "nvlddmkm.sys".

I am currently on driver 381.65, will update to 381.89.

That's interesting! I'm really curious if that will make it a better experience after the driver update.
Keep us informed, dude :)

No effect, still get worker error from Nvidia in the middle of XP11 load screen at random.

So, it's not a FlyInside error, it's an XP11 error.

Turn off threaded operation in Nvidia control panel for xplanes .exe, there are some compatibility issues.

Haven't had it crash yet, closed and opened about a half dozen times to check.
