Pimax 4k cost less than OR or Vive

Stupid question but I will ask. Disable Pimax head tracking, and use track ir instead, would that work?

With some game yes but not with FlyInside or P3D v4.
But in a plane with the 5 points seat-belt you can not move your body !

I can fully believe that. As I said, just from reading up...and if you research oculus you will see endless complaints on "god rays" etc which i know are not really an issue. Far more people seem to post complaints than positives

Maybe not but you can still move your head, and unless you have an actual 5 point seat belt on your rig, your going to be moving your body around. For me, even moving my head an inch and the view not following feels odd...not nauseous just odd. What your used too though I guess

Pimax 4K arrived today.

Struggling to get FI XP working with this headset. I'm using the latest Piplay software and have added FlyInsideXP.exe to the "Local Library" however when I start the app from within Piplay nothing happens and FlyIinside log states:

2.13128 Oculus\OVR1200Hmd.cpp 58 Failed to find HMD: -1007

It will play other apps from the Oculus library.

Any Ideas.

The only idea I can think of knowing flyinside, is to ensure the HMD is connected directly to the gpu? I'm sure it is but just checking mate

With the Pimax : You must play in "vive mode" with steam VR .

the resolution is 4k per eye or 2k per eye?
how do you see the gauges ? are they clearly legible?

It is not a true 4k but the gauges are clear and legible yes but now you have the new Pimax 5k (more a true 2.5k with bigger FOV) and 8k (true 4k per eye).
