X plane 11 and Oculus rift crash on load

Postby cooliscool2006 » Sat Jul 29, 2017 5:13 pm

Hello,

I recently purchased the full version of Flyinside and was looking forward to finally getting to use x plane 11 with it. However, I start x plane, set up the view and button through the headset and then everything loads and the screen fills the headset. A timer icon appears in view with the monitor showing an error has occurred send this data to flyinside. I've done this about 4 times now so I figured I'd try on here now I'm getting very annoyed with it.

The headset works fine on everything else, just Flyinside. Also, x plane 11 is on steam, I don't know if this makes a difference.

Thanks

Scott

Thanks for telling me where to find the log Tony, would of been searching for hours! ;-)

Didn't even know there was such a log, so I see it says GLSL isn't the currect version, but to be honest I have no idea what that is?

Cheers guys

Ok I have updated a signature with my system.

As for the whole log, that is all that shows. I have 12 error logs and 1 'log.txt' which contains no text and file size is 0 bytes. I have attached an error file to this anyway but it won't let me upload the normal log as it's empty.

Do you have multiple monitors or GPUs running?

No, just one monitor (hdmi from GPU) and the one Radeon Rx580 GPU.

Ok are you trying to load a stock aircraft ? Can you double check you downloaded the correct version for the rift and Xplane Scott ? Do you have any particular addons ? LUA loaded ? Weather programs ? Any others VR programs you having problems with ? Have you pointed Flyinside to the correct steam location.....all basic stuff but you never know :)

I tried it on default aircraft and also Jar design A330. Everything had loaded correctly and I dont have any extra programs such as weather. Everything is pointing correctly to steam etc and No other vr programs have issues.

I've just decided to try and delete it and download it again fresh and I've done a quick 10 minute test flight and no crashes!! Maybe it hadn't installed correctly the first time? I don't know if this made a difference but I didn't have Steam VR running, only the oculus program itself.

Cheers for the help guys, hopefully it's sorted now.
