How to interact with cockpit buttons

Postby IpSam » Sun Aug 20, 2017 12:04 pm

I was previously using touch so prior I would reach out with my hands and interact with cockpit.

Now I have a joystick, how can I interact by looking at for example the auto pilot and pressing a button on my joystick to click?

Depends on the sim you are using. You need to go into settings and assign commands to the button presses of your joystick :)

Thanks Tony. I'm using x plane 11. Are you saying I need to go into x plane settings and assign a button for the command I want to use during flight?

Is it possible to simply look at the landing lights with the blue dot and click the interact button on fly inside?

No the interact button would bring up the flyinside menu if set up for that and the mouse would be able to click on things such as the landing lights :) but the interact can be hovered over switches and knobs and will interact that way.

Have you read our wiki above?

I'm using FSX, thinking about changing to XP or P3D..... in FSX I can interact with switches with the blue dot + interact button, I like how it works, is'nt it the same with XP and P3D.?
