Rift Edge Flickering in XP11

Postby Captain_russ » Tue Aug 22, 2017 1:08 pm

I posted a message about a problem with intermittent flickering on the outside edges of my VR displays (both eyes) It only occurs with XP using Fly Inside and not on other Oculus VR apps so I suspect it is one of these two causing the problem.

Here is an animated gif mockup showing about what I see...it is rather annoying and distracting. It seems to occur when there is a lot of demand on the graphics...rapid head movements and low level flying but I am not positive. It will go several minutes normally at times too.

1- Is this a know problem?

2- Is there a fix?

It is one of the flyinside settings, close to the top of the list, and it stands for Asynchronous Space Warp, which is an Oculus facility that is designed, for the majority of situations, to improve perceived frame rates.
