I also ran into this issue and was forced to uninstall FlyInside in order to run P3D at all.
Can I suggest the following improvements to FlyInside developer team?
- Unsupported version error be made into a warning, in the case where a
newer P3D (unknown to FlyInside) is found. User can choose to try it or quit.
- Prominent notice on this board and on the FlyInside website when a version of P3D is available that is really not compatible.
- FlyInside to work closer with Lockheed Martin to beta-test any upcoming new versions. Imagine a future where Flyinside update is ready in advance of the P3D update...
Same could apply to X-Plane too, of course.
Please treat this as a priority, it can affects all of your users and will happen with each and every update unless something changes.
