Hey guys,
I am kinda new here and don't usually resort to forums, but I am having some issues and you guys seem to be the pros.
I have been using FlyInside all summer and outside a couple of little quirks which I can deal with it's been really good and always loaded... til last night. I made up an IFR flight plan went to strap in and I couldn't get FlyInside to load. I have had the odd load up issue before, but never like this. I will give you the low down and dirty below and maybe you guys have some ideas. So far as any other info (ie error logs or anything like that) I have Moderate computer skills so if you want something specific you may have to tell me where to look.
Symptoms:
Fly inside splash screen comes up for a split second and then goes back to the Vive loading screen.
FSX fully boots and you can hear the menu music. It can be accessed via my PC or in the HTC desktop view without issue.
No error messages are generated
All other VR software works
FSX works normally when played just on the PC.
What I have tried so far:
Reinstalling Fly Inside (3 times)
Deleting the fsx.cfg file
Updating the nvidia drivers
Updating all the vive firmware
Updating viveport
Drinking heavily
Swearing at the computer
Computer/software stats:
O/S: Windows 10 Pro
CPU: i7-6700K
GPU: GTX-1080 Strix
RAM: 64GB
Primary HDD: 500GB SSD
VR: HTC Vive
Interface: Saitak X45 throttle and yoke
Sim: FSX Steam edition (no add-ons)
Fly Inside: Was version 1.92, now 1.96
The only things I have not tried and I am kind of hoping to avoid so I don't loose my flight logs and key bindings is reinstalling FSX or deleting any other config files.
Hopefully you guys can shed some light on this.
