PMDG 737

Postby Tezza » Sat Nov 25, 2017 1:05 pm

This aircraft works really well in P3d v4.1 but I have one minor issue. I've asked on the PMDG forum but haven't had a reply yet. Does anyone else using this aircraft with Flyinside notice that when you trim the aircraft, it does physically trim but the big trim wheel in the cockpit doesn't move? Just wondering if was me only in which case I'm probably doing something wrong.

It certainly should. The real thing tries to take your knee off every time the trim moves!!

How clear is the cockpit i VR with OR?
I tried the PMDG 737 yesterday, and it is really hard to read any gauges without leaning very close to them. My PC is below OR specs and I want to upgrade it, but I am not sure how much better the graphics will be?
It takes a while to get used to the hand feature as well.
One thing is really annoying. If I open the menu I cant reach it using the OR controllers. The finger stops before it touches the selections.

I have done a complete flight with PMDG 737 in P3Dv4.1 using my artifical hand to control nearly everything except the flight controls.
I works with some struggle. What I really would like to get rid of is the scale that is used for nearly all actions. It kills the reality for me. I saw a Youtube video where you guys showed how to PUSH different buttons in order to switch something on or off. That function is not in the PMDG aircraft. There is a scale for nearly every action, and the result is you struggle to do a simple action. You end up toggeling the switch onoffonoffonoffonoff.
The panel light switches are impossible to adjust, they go from on to off. As in max on or max off.
For some reason I can’t move the ignition switches at all.
Where the switches go onoffonoff really fast, the values in the MCP window takes forever to change. Altitude, heading and courses. Yawn!

I have tried to change the settings, but nothing I do seems to change anything. Is there a way I can use push only and not drag along the scale? You use push for the autopilot buttons, so why not everything else. Scales are OK for frequencies and such, not landing lights, FMC and the rest.

Please?

Forgot to tell you. PMDG 737 NG, P3Dv4.1 and Flyinside. Trimwheels are turning when I trim the aircraft.

No worries!

I would appreciate some feedback on the scales issue. Is this the way it is meant to be, or is it possible to change this to push? In all the Youtube videos I have seen, the hand is used to push most of the buttons.

I am having the same kind of problems. Leap Motion is more or less impossible to use at least with PMDG 737 NGX and PMDG 747. It would be great to know if there is some kind of config file which controls the way the individual knobs are operated (push or scale) or whether this is hard coded into flyinside for all aircraft.

Hi,

I'm totally new to VR and FlyInside. Just installed PMDG 737 and it CTDs with FlyInside only. I have P3D 4.4. Did you have same issue and any idea how to solve this ?
