When I start P3D4.5, I get a message saying: "Sorry, FlyInside P3Dv4 requires prepar3D 4.0-4.3"
It did work with 4.4... can I tweak anything so that it will run with 4.5?

I hope so, I've just bought FI for p3dv4...

It is surprisingly silent in the flyinside message board lately. I fear there is zero development going on for this application...

The performance in V4.5 is below that of V4.4 at the moment (native). Also VirtualReality.dll had to be patched for Oculus because it was crashing straight to desktop when VR was selected. Stick with V4.4 for the moment is my advice. I'm sure LM will publish an update over the next week or so.

Neither FlyInside nor P3D4.5 ‚native‘ seems to work with Oculus Rift.
FI says „need P3Dv4.4“; P3D4.5 crashes when switched to VR-Oculus.
Which software is responsible?

This is an issue with P3DV4.5. Almost immediately LM released a small patch to care of this. Basically its to replace virtualreality.dll in the main P3D folder with an updated version. You will find this available for download on the LM P3D forum.

I'm sure Dan will update and release a new version of FI as soon as its tested. FI version checks P3D so when a new version comes out it doesn't automatically work but requires Dan to test it first and the add the new version as a valid version once tested. This avoids a bunch of users posting the same issue if there is a compatibility problem should the new version of P2D have any conflicts.

Regards, Alan.

Allan, thank you for the clarification - and the reassurance! I was so flabbergasted that ‚my‘ functioning combination of P3D, LI, and LeapMotion all of a sudden did not work anymore... Naturally, I thought it must be my mistake... I was contemplating re-installing the whole software bundle incl. all the ORBX sceneries and the aircraft, again from scratch. Was very frustrated...
Now, I am relaxed again, waiting for your new version. I will install the LM patch immediately.
Keep up the good work!
