Installing it now (big file).

In the meantime, I decided to try that after trying to install the last flyinside and got an install error message that it needed at least runtime 1.3. I had installed 1.3.2 (or so I thought) but when I went to the oculus config settings (taskbar icon) and checked "about" it said the 64.dll was missing and was only runtime .8. ??? So, I checked that apps still worked, they did. So, I uninstalled runtime completely and deleted remaining files.

Downloaded the latest runtime from the Oculus website (took a bit to download) and it's going through the install process now.

Will try to install the latest FI after that and let you know.

and.... I got it working! :D

1. Uninstall Oculus Run time
2. Uninstall Flyinside
3. Update video driver (I had previously reverted the driver to the last known to work with the DX2 and Oculus Runtime that worked with DX2).
4. Install latest Oculus Run time (with home and intended for commercial version oculus rift with leap devices).
a. Ignore Oculus messages that state "this won't work! Run Forest Run!"
b. Ignore that it cannot see that your cables are properly connected (assuming they were not changed with previous runtime installation).
c. turn off leap connections (the dot selector in the sim still works perfectly).
d. watch some boring safety video (can't skip it - I suppose someone sued).
5. Install Flyinside latest release.
a. Restart PC
b. follow onscreen (err ... in rift screen) setup.
c. Restart PC
6. Start Flyinside ... OMG! It's working, again!

Thank you for your guidance with this process. It's been much appreciated.

Phew we got there in the end :) great news mate now relax and log some VR flight time ;)

Thank you, sir! As a licensed pilot - this software blew me away the first time (and again, today) I used it. Still amazing software!
