FSX/P3D Global Couds Map

Postby Phil_Giordana_FCD » Thu Feb 04, 2016 10:05 am

So, in hope someone familiar with FSX/ P3D architecture could help:

I do a lot of very high flights (with a modified plane that goes up to max allowed altitude, max allowed speed). It's pretty awesome and only lacks one thing: a nice cloud layer from up there.

I know FSX/P3D ain't no Orbiter or Celestia, but I was wondering if anybody knows enough about how the soft works to help me work on a -static for now- layer of texture to simulate clouds from ultra-high altitudes. It's really just an aesthetic fix I'd like to get, but it could be fun.

Any hints, ideas, nopes?

Phil I'm sure if you go to advanced weather especially in FSX you can set the cloud layers to any altitude you wish ? I may be wrong and am at work so someone may correct me :) go have a look see ?.
