I am not certain but waiting might be the best choice on the Vive with FlyInside. I saw a discussion about Vive not having asynchronous timewarp. If that's true, and Dan can't duplicate the functionality, something like FSX that has a hard time keeping decent FSX framerates, might have problems with the Vive. We lock the FSX frames at 30 fps anyway to keep multiplayer from jittering.

Dan - any thoughts on this? Is it true there is no asynchronous timewarp in the Vive SDK? If that's true, do you think you can duplicate the functionality? Or do you already do that in the Rift SDK? Or is this just a non-issue?

I don't think there's much point in getting both unless you have more money than you know what to do with, or you're writing software for them ;) Otherwise their's so much overlap, why bother?

Robert: I plan to support Vive with my own reprojection system which should offer a similar experience :)

I was going to ask about timewarp with Vive headset, but I see I don't have to anymore! :)

Cool, Dan! Glad to hear. The Vive with that forward camera even though it's not pass through and the Lighthouse tracking could be really good for flight sims.

Thanks!

Wasn't planning on both HMD's Dan, just waiting patiently to see what one comes out on top before making my choice :)
